Are you planning to celebrate a birthday at a restaurant in Stockholm? At Ristorante Villa Romana Odenplan, both small and large groups can gather for an Italian birthday dinner in a warm and relaxed setting right in the heart of Vasastan.

The restaurant is located at Odengatan 85, close to Odenplan metro station, commuter trains and buses. Here we serve handmade pasta, Pinsa Romana from a stone oven and Italian classics for family celebrations, surprise dinners and milestone birthdays.

For smaller groups, you can book a standard table online or enquire about our private room upstairs. The lower dining room can be booked exclusively for up to 25 seated guests. For larger birthday celebrations, it is also possible to book the entire restaurant exclusively for up to 65 seated guests.

The booking option that suits you best depends on how many of you there are and whether you'd like to sit in the open dining room, in a private room, or have a larger section of the restaurant reserved exclusively for your party.

Standard table – up to 8 guests

For parties of up to eight guests, you can book a standard table directly online. You'll be seated in the restaurant's open dining room and can order from our regular menu.

If there are exactly eight of you, we recommend that you pre-order your meal at least 48 hours before your visit. Please contact the restaurant after booking for the current set menu and instructions.

A standard table is not the same as the private room upstairs. If you would like a private room, you must always submit a separate booking enquiry.

Private room upstairs – up to 8 seated guests

For smaller groups wishing to celebrate in a more private setting, there is a private room upstairs that seats up to eight guests.

The room is ideal for small birthday dinners, family celebrations and surprise parties where you'd like your own space during the meal.

The room cannot be booked via the standard online booking system. Please send a separate enquiry stating your preferred date, time and number of guests, and we'll confirm availability.

Bookings for the private room require a pre-ordered set menu.

Exclusive lower dining room – up to 25 seated guests

The lower dining room can be booked exclusively for birthday celebrations, family dinners, surprise parties and anniversaries for up to 25 seated guests.

When the lower dining room is booked, the space is reserved for your party. Bookings are made by submitting a separate enquiry to the restaurant.

Please specify your preferred date and time, the approximate number of guests and your preferred set-up, and we will confirm availability.

Bookings in the lower dining room require a pre-ordered group menu.

Book the entire restaurant – up to 65 seated guests

For larger birthday celebrations, it is possible to book the entire Ristorante Villa Romana Odenplan exclusively for parties of up to 65 seated guests.

When the entire restaurant is booked, the venue is reserved for your party. We will draw up a bespoke plan based on the date, time, number of guests, menu and any other requirements.

A deposit is required to confirm the booking. Further payment terms are set out in the quotation and booking confirmation.

The booking is only confirmed once you have received a written booking confirmation from the restaurant and the deposit has been paid in accordance with the specified terms.

For bookings in the private room, the exclusive lower dining room, the entire restaurant and other group bookings handled via a booking enquiry, advance ordering of food is required.

For a standard table booking for exactly eight guests, we recommend pre-ordering.

The entire party must book the same set menu. Within the set menu, guests can choose from three different main courses.

Final menu choices, along with information regarding allergies and other dietary requirements, must be provided no later than 48 hours before your visit.

Vegetarian and vegan options are always available. Please let us know about any allergies or other dietary requirements well in advance, and we will confirm which adjustments are possible for your party.

To accompany your meal, we can also offer Italian wine recommendations and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Milestone birthdays

Are you planning a milestone birthday or a major anniversary? Depending on the size of your party, you can book a standard table, the private room upstairs, the exclusive lower dining room or the entire restaurant.

Surprise dinner

Are you planning to surprise a partner, friend or family member? The private room or the exclusive lower dining room can make it easier for guests to gather before the birthday guest arrives.

Family birthday

Villa Romana is also ideal for multi-generational family celebrations. Its central location at Odenplan makes it easy for guests to travel by metro, commuter train and bus from different parts of Stockholm.

Please let us know if children will be attending, if you need a high chair, or if your party has any other practical requirements.
